Reading
- Danesfield House - site of the wedding
- High Wycombe - Hotel near reception - £30
per person, per night
- Apartments
Rental apartments being built for
rental in Reading. Sandy Prior who is managing these new apartments has agreed to allow us
to book the apartments which will be ready by the wedding, either on a Monday to Sunday
basis which is their normal arrangement (seven nights minimum), or as a special favour to
us will allow booking, prior to the Wedding, Saturday night to Friday night inclusive,
assuming that people will be moving over to other hotels on the day of the Wedding.
They are within walking distance of
the town centre (2 mins.) and also within walking distance of the main line railway
station (15 mins). They are the same side of Reading as our house, church etc. so seem
quite suitable. The trains to London (Paddington) take approx. 20 mins. on a 'fast train',
i.e.: not stopping at other stations on the way.
The cost per apartment per night is:-
2 bedroomed (double beds) with lounge/diner, bathroom, kitchen, tv. washer, etc. £90 1
bedroomed (double bed ) with the same as above £60.
These prices are very reasonable as
with four people in a 2 bedroomed apartment you are paying only £22.50 per person per
night. Obviously you wouldn't be getting food in this price but you have a good base to
travel from and space to live in.
Special thanks to Elaine Kassam &
Heather Matson for compiling above information. |
